The documents needed vary depending on the type of Dependant visa you're using. Given below is a list of common documents that are required for all types of visas:

  • A valid passport with an expiry date of not less than 6 months
  • Recent passport-sized photographs as per US rules
  • Copy of the DS-160 confirmation page
  • Relationship proof (birth certificates and marriage certificates or wedding affidavits)
  • Copy of the visa fee payment receipt
  • Copy of the interview confirmation letter
  • Financial details of the primary visa holder as proof of financial stability

Step 3: The spouse can now apply for a CR-1 (conditional resident) immigrant visa or IR-1 visa (spouse of a US citizen)

Step 4: Arrange and submit the visa requirements (valid marriage certificate, evidence of your relationship with the sponsor, and Form I-864)

Step 5: Attend the visa interview at the nearest US embassy in the UK
