What Are the Rule Changes to Australian 417 Visas for UK Citizen?

As per new rules
1. From 1 July 2023, UK passport holders of 18 to 35 year age group on a working holiday visa can travel to Australia.
2. From 1 July 2024, UK passport holders are no longer required to do Regional Work for the 2nd and 3rd year of their Working Holiday Visas.

Do I Need a Visa As UK Citizen to Travel to Germany for Work?

UK citizens don’t need a visa to enter any of EU Schengen member states including Germany. However, note that is possible only if their stay isn’t over 90 days inside 180 day period in a year. This exemption also applies to:-
• UK Nationals Overseas
• UK Subjects
• UK Overseas Territories Citizens
• UK Overseas Citizens
• UK Protected Persons
• UK passport holders issued by Anguilla, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos Islands, St. Helena, and British Virgin Islands.
However, as a UK citizen, you can only take up a job in Germany if it is explicitly authorized by a visa or a residence permit issued by a local immigration office or "Ausländerbehörde" in Germany.

Do I Have to Get My Own Visa?

It happens only if you relocate to the USA, Australia, Germany, and Canada on your own and then look for a job. Nowadays, the foreign company that employs you handles your visa requirements. Just be sure to find out what kind of visa the company is arranging for you. • If you are a media professional in the UK, to move to the USA, you need I-Visa.
• If you want to shift to USA permanently, you can apply for immigrant visa, through sponsorship from your US relative. You can also apply for a skilled workers visa to move permanently to the USA in a specialist role.

Which Visa should I Apply for to Live and Work in the EU?

• If you are a highly skilled professional from the UK, you can opt for an EU Blue Card that lets you live in Germany for 4 years plus 3 months. Every EU nation issues this card for different periods.
• If you are a graduate/postgraduate from high education institute or received qualified vocational training, to live and work in Germany, you will need Work Visa for Qualified Professionals that is issued for maximum 4 years. Each EU nation gives this visa for different periods.
• As a qualified IT specialist from the UK, to live and work in Germany, you will need a Visa for IT Specialists. But you need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Every EU nation has different requirements for this visa.
• If you wish to start a new business or work as a freelancer, you need to apply for a Visa for Self-Employment in Germany. Each EU country has its own specifications for this visa.
• If you hold a PhD/doctorate degree or equivalent university degree that gives you access to a PhD program Visa for research, you will need to apply for a Visa for Research in Germany. Can I Get Financial Assistance to Work Abroad?

Financial assistance for work is rare. At best, the company that is employing you in a country outside the UK will help you find a new place to reside. Other than that no one will provide any assistance. However, there may be other companies that financially support your trip abroad.

How Much Will I Earn in Australia?

As a UK citizen working in Australia, as per Australian laws, you are entitled to a minimum wage of AUD 23.23/hour per day as of 2023. Though, as per Australian laws, any individual under 21 years can be paid less than what Australian regulations stipulate, there is a massive requirement for seasonal employees, especially in agriculture, horticulture, and related industries. If you are above 21 years of age, as a seasonal work employee you can have many opportunities to earn more than minimum wage, provided you can negotiate your employment terms better.
