If you always wanted to move to a new country or are looking to jumpstart your career then working abroad is the best option. Working abroad not only helps build your experience and boost earnings but also helps you learn new languages, amongst others.
As per new rules
1. From 1 July 2023, UK passport holders of 18 to 35 year age group on a working holiday visa can travel to Australia.
2. From 1 July 2024, UK passport holders are no longer required to do Regional Work for the 2nd and 3rd year of their Working Holiday Visas.
UK citizens don’t need a visa to enter any of EU Schengen member states including Germany. However, note that is possible only if their stay isn’t over 90 days inside 180 day period in a year. This exemption also applies to:-
• UK Nationals Overseas
• UK Subjects
• UK Overseas Territories Citizens
• UK Overseas Citizens
• UK Protected Persons
• UK passport holders issued by Anguilla, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Isle of Man, Guernsey, Jersey, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos Islands, St. Helena, and British Virgin Islands.
However, as a UK citizen, you can only take up a job in Germany if it is explicitly authorized by a visa or a residence permit issued by a local immigration office or "Ausländerbehörde" in Germany.
It happens only if you relocate to the USA, Australia, Germany, and Canada on your own and then look for a job. Nowadays, the foreign company that employs you handles your visa requirements. Just be sure to find out what kind of visa the company is arranging for you. Whether the visa will allow you to stay in the host country and find a new position once you leave the job in the company; or will you have to return to the UK once you resign from the company.
• You must learn everything about relevant visas and work permits.
• Find out a well-paid job and a place you can call home.
• Figure out your expected salary and its differences with the cost of living in the host country.
• Learn about your host country and sensitize yourself to cultural and social norms.
• Figure out if working abroad, if you will get the desired number of leaves.
• Figure out your prospective company culture and the support it will provide.
• Build your network in the host country to support yourself and your family.
No, if you are a UK citizen, you don't need a university degree to find work in Australia or New Zealand.
